Our story
Started with one drum roaster and a folding table
In 2016, Ana Fernwood roasted her first batch of green beans in a rented garage on Alder Street, selling bags out of a farmers market stall. A decade later the roaster is bigger, but the way we buy coffee hasn't changed — direct from growers we visit ourselves, paid fairly, roasted small so nothing sits on a shelf.
Today the shop on Alder Street is where the neighbourhood does its thinking, its first dates and its Monday mornings.
